As an experienced professional web developer I have produced many sites over the years some examples of which are listed below.

Based in Brighton, East Sussex my clients range from local businesses and web agencies to businesses and agencies in London, Holland and beyond.

De-mystifying the technology

My core aim is to de-mystify web development technologies so that the companies and agencies I work for can make informed decisions about how they want me to develop websites for them. And I like to ensure that the specific requirements of any project are clearly defined and agreed before I start writing software.

Project process

Many of the projects I develop follow this project process to ensure that I deliver the right product on time that meets the requirements:

• Requirements planning
• Staging site development and testing
• User acceptance testing
• Training
• Go live

With smaller projects training and user acceptance testing may be minimal but generally they still play an important part.

Some Recent Projects

Microzone

I developed this website using Wordpress as a CMS (Content Management System). I worked from PSD (Photoshop) files to write HTML / CSS templates which I converted into a Wordpress theme.

MDH

Working for a London based agency my role was to produce a Wordpress based website using HTML/CSS templates provided by their frontend developers. To meet their requirements I wrote a theme, custom plugins and widgets to add functionality to the Wordpress admin interface and manipulate the output of data stored in the database

Chartite

I was asked to add the clients product database (50,000 products) to this website with the ability to edit the products, import them from their product management system and for users to search the product database where the search results are produced by a specific method. I developed this project using Codeigniter which is a PHP framework

The Treatment Rooms

Working with a local Brighton based agency I developed this website from PSD (Photoshop) shop files to produce a Wordpress driven website which is integrated with e-commerce for the online shop.

The Dutch National Institute of Interior Design

I worked with a designer and UX consultant in Holland to produce this website which has a unique look and feel. I developed the HTML / CSS templates from PSD (Photoshop) files and as specified by the client, used Wordpress as a CMS (Content Management System) so that they can easily update it.
