Python work and app stores, notes from 23rd September 2026
Posted by Paul Silver
On the 23rd September, nine freelancers got together in the beer garden of the Battle of Trafalgar pub in Brighton to talk almost everything except freelancing, but it did occasionally come up.
This is some of what we blathered about:
- Looking for Python work
- Getting apps into both app stores
- Working in China
- American populist politics vs UK populist politics
- Selling and buying houses
- Trying to get hearing aids reprogrammed
- Electric shocks that we have known
- Group accommodation to make Brighton affordable
- The state of the market
- AI end of the world stuff
- Physio and overcoming body problems as you age
- Moving from a diesel car to EV
Sometimes, we all stay off topic. This was one of those weeks.
